Avon Grove Lions Club - Hospital Equipment Program

The Avon Grove Lions Club Hospital Equipment Program was started by Lion Gene McDowell in 1987 with equipment that was given to our club by the Newark, Del. Lions Club. They gave us a few manual hospital beds, a couple wheelchairs, commodes and walkers. The equipment is stored in a barn belonging to Yeatman Bros. Properties, located at 600 N. Baker Station Rd., West Grove, PA 19390. Since the beginning of the program we have accumulated a much greater variety of equipment, which we loan out to anyone in the community who has a need. There is no charge for the equipment, but we do accept donations, which helps us to maintain a supply of equipment.

Equipment that we have includes:

1. Electric and manual Hospital beds w/ mattress [trapeze bars and side rails available]
2. Electric and manual wheelchairs
3. Electric Lift chairs [some that recline]
4. Hover Lifts
5. Geriatric chairs
6. Walkers [with and without wheels]
7. Bed side commodes
8. Toilet seat extenders
9. Shower and tub seats and transfer tub benches
10. Canes and crutches
11. Electric scooters
